Louie C.K. Releases DRM-Free Download of a Standup, Still Makes Money, Everybody wins
This is an outtake from a show Louie C.K. put on at The Bacon Theatre.
In a sort of experiment, he put up $170,000 to record and $32,000 to maintain a website exclusively providing the show. You would be allowed to download or stream it for $5.
In 4 days, Louis C.K. recouped the $200,000, and doubled it. Score one for the good guys.
