I'm making a commitment to positivity from now on. Its really becoming apparent to me that even if your circumstances aren't up to your standards, becoming salty about it is only going to make it harder to pull yourself up out of it. Plus, a negative attitude stunts inspiration.
I've made this commitment before and it was AWESOME, but it slowly eroded due to me keeping bad company, or allowing bad company to affect the way I think, or just losing track of it. Basically positivity has got to be maintained CONSTANTLY... it may seem daunting but the rewards make it more than worth it.
Peace
I def. agree with this effort. Being positive takes training. You have to be conscious of the default thoughts of your brain. It essentially has to be like manually adjusting the reactions you have to everything that happens to you on a daily basis. Last in line at the DMV. Cut off by an angry driver. Overlooked at work. Whatever. You have to make yourself find a silver lining each time and eventually your head will go on autopilot like this.
ReplyDeleteafter i wrote this i felt like its obvious almost to the point of being like an automatic verbal response to something bad happening, but that bit you said about the DEFAULT thoughts in your brain is important, because its like.. default is standard, if we just default and let whatever vibes enter us.... bad news. but blind optomism is an extreme too..
